Campus Tennis Centre to offer children's tennis lessons in January

The Durham College and University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) Campus Tennis Centre is hosting two tennis workshops for children - Junior Tennis Clinics and High Performance Clinics - beginning January 3 and 4. The 10-week workshops are for individuals aged four to 17.

Community member pledges $500,000 to auditorium at UOIT

Students of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will enjoy the largest lecture auditorium in the Science building for decades to come thanks to a generous $500,000 pledge from Dr. Peter Zakarow. The Dr. Peter Zakarow Auditorium accommodates 250 students and is complete with all the technology necessary for laptop learning and teaching.

Canada's newest university on track for strong enrolment growth

January 21, 2004

High school students continue to show strong interest in Canada's newest university. The total number of secondary-school applications to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) for next fall has jumped more than 28 per cent over last year, to 3,796, according to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) in Guelph.
