MDC welcomes Tim Hortons executive to speak at Regent Theatre January 30

Tim Hortons Canada executive Callie Woodward will visit the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) on Thursday, January 30 to participate in the UOIT Management Development Centre’s (MDC) third-annual Business Seminar.

As the Director of Continuous Improvement for Tim Hortons Canada, Woodward will discuss Strategies on How to Build a Winning Organization. Her presentation will outline and review the organizational benefits, opportunities and challenges experienced through the deployment of Lean Thinking programs in a large multinational organization. Lean is a methodology focused on optimizing resources and delivering efficiencies through identifying and eliminating wasteful steps or activities in core processes. Leading Edge Group is a global leader in the provision of Lean education and consultancy.

The MDC Business Seminar will also include Dr. Joseph Krasman, Assistant Professor, UOIT Faculty of Business and Information Technology, who will discuss Implementing Change Successfully – The HR perspective. Also speaking will be Jane Bishop, Lead Instructor, Leading Edge Group, who will focus on The Implementation of Lean principles within the Health-Care Sector and Broader Public Sector.
