The Campus Libraries recently asked faculty, staff and students to fill out a LibQUAL+ customer satisfaction survey for a chance to win some great prizes.

Congratulations to Faculty of Education student Sarah Nicholls, winner of an Apple Watch, and to the 10 Tim Hortons gift card winners!

Thank you to the nearly 880 people who responded. The survey results will help the Library collect and interpret feedback systematically over time. It also provides comparable assessment information from peer institutions across North America.

A preliminary review of the results indicates that:

  • Library users appreciate the helpfulness of library staff and the wealth of digital resources provided.
  • They are much less satisfied with the lack of space at the north Oshawa location.
  • Respondents would like more noise restrictions and increased hours of service.

The information received from the survey will be used to inform the budget and facilities requests as the Library makes plans for the next 10 years.
