New research partnership to address student mental health challenges

In a search for answers and to develop new approaches to addressing the serious challenges of student mental health issues, the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology is partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association of Durham on a new research project that will survey hundreds of undergraduate students.

ACE, located at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa, is a research and testing facility that offers the perfect technologies in made-to-order weather conditions for athletes such as Derek Zandstra. To help him acclimatize and beat the heat, ACE was able to simulate exactly what he was looking for in its advanced climate simulation chambers.
