If you want to be an engineer, surveys continue to confirm the University of Ontario Institute of Technology is one of the best places in Canada to study.

While the university is one of Canada’s newest post-secondary destinations (opened in 2003), the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science has emerged among the most reputable in the country.

University Magazine’s 2018 issue ranks the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in the No. 8 position in Canada, and No. 3 among engineering programs in Ontario.

University Magazine’s national ranking echoes the results of other recent studies, including two international surveys of engineering schools. The 2017 U.S. News and World Report survey of the Best Global Universities placed the university in the top half of all engineering programs in the world. The university’s programs in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering also garnered high placings in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.

Quote

“Consistently placing in the top lists of national and international surveys speaks to the quality of our programs, modern labs and learning infrastructure, and also to the depth of our expanding engineering research capacity. The impressive accomplishments of our program’s earliest graduates demonstrate that we prepare students to excel and lead in the workplace.”
