News tip-off: Ridgebacks adding basketball to varsity program

Women’s and men’s teams will debut in 2019-2020

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology will join the ranks of Ontario University Athletics (OUA) women’s and men’s basketball in the fall of 2019.

The Ridgebacks will become the 18th team in both leagues. The teams will play home games at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre. The search to build the coaching staffs will begin shortly.
